Psusennes I the silver Pharaoh part 1

👑 Psusennes I, was the third king of the Twenty-first Dynasty, 1039 BC – 990 BC. He ruled Egypt from Tanis in the eastern Delta. He protected the Egyptian borders against any foreign attack. Psusennes built a temple for the Theban Triad, in Tanis, and royal palaces, in addition to his rich royal tomb. The Theban Triad consisted of the god Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu.

➡️ The world learned about the pharaoh Psusennes after the discovery of his tomb by the French Professor Pierre Montet in 1940 AD, which was found with all its treasures and was not looted. Due to the amount of silver found in his tomb, he was called the Silver Pharaoh. This discovery would have been an important event like the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun, had it not been for the timing of this discovery being on the eve of World War II, so it did not receive the coverage and attention that happened when the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered.

➡️ After examining the skeleton of Psusennes I, his physical characteristics were known, including that his height was 166 cm, that he was strong-built, his head was large for his short body, and his right eye was higher than his left eye. A fracture was found in his spine at the seventh upper vertebra, which healed during his life. It was also known that when he died, he was suffering from rheumatism in the connective tissues of the spine, and his mouth was convex as a result of losing many teeth, and that he died at the age of 80 years.
