🤩🇪🇬 At the end of the trial, Osiris passed sentence: If the heart was less heavy than the feather of Maat, and the sentence was positive, his Ka (the vital force) and his Ba (the soul force) could go to meet the mummy, form the Aj (the "beneficial being") and live forever in the fields of Aaru (Paradise in Egyptian mythology). But if the verdict was negative, and his Ib was heavier than Maat's feather, then Maat was thrown at Ammyt, the devourer of the dead (a being with a crocodile head, hippopotamus hind legs and mane, torso and forelegs lion), which ended with him. This was called the second death and meant for the deceased the end of his immortal condition; that person ceased to exist for the history of Egypt.
