i  only can say what i read,  the comments where , dusty place not friendly staff, do not go in the hotel

customers from Europe like alcoholic drinks , seems from time to time a problem,

and sure a lot of good comments, decide knowing a place before you go, i will never give fantasy,,, Marcus, you can read comments on Trip advisor

TIPS 4 Visitors 

My Egyptian companion told me about this market, when i was last time in Hurghada,, watch the video's, just few tips i give you. The cheapeast market in Egypt ....BUT

1.Never buy a copy from famous branches, when you fly back and customs find it , you are in trouble in some country's

2 Be aware some vendors can bother you in a pushing way.

3. wear easy cloathes and shoes. and maybe earplugs it's a very noisy area. IT'S BIG

if you still like to go, GOOD LUCK, IF YOU HAVE EGYPTIAN COMPANION THIS WOULD HELP A LOT.it's an experience behind imagination 

 

Oh the chaos of Ataba market! Walking around as a foreigner with red hair and a camera might draw a lot of stares, but I love to explore the markets here in Egypt. Some of the guys can be a bit too enthusiastic or aggressive, but for the most part everyone is pretty decent, friendly and chill. Yalla

Review of Suuq el Ataba

Guides were very reluctant to take us to Suuq el Ataba.

They prefer to take tourists to Khan el Khalili or to shops where tourists are scammed with prices and goods from China.

My wife and I only went by taxi. Shopping streets from clothing, fabrics, souvenirs to household appliances and much more. Experience local culture with few or no tourists with variety through this buzzing 'maze'. The place is busy but very safe and well worth it!

Beoordeling van Suuq el Ataba

Gidsen waren erg terughoudend om ons naar Suuq el Ataba te brengen.

Ze nemen liever toeristen naar Khan el Khalili of naar winkels waar toeristen worden opgelicht met prijzen en goederen uit China.

Mijn vrouw en ik gingen alleen met een taxi. Winkelstraten van kleding, stoffen, souvenirs tot huishoudelijke apparaten en nog veel meer. Ervaar de lokale cultuur met weinig of geen toeristen met afwisseling door dit zoemende 'doolhof'. De plaats is druk maar zeer veilig en zeker de moeite waard!
