Nefertari 🥀The Great Royal Wife of Ramesses II, Nefertari held an important place in ancient Egyptian society. Her name, meaning “the beautiful one who comes from Atum,” reflects the respect she was held in. As the chief wife of one of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs, Nefertari enjoyed a privileged status, often depicted alongside her husband in grand temple and tomb carvings.
